Capital City 3ON3

  • What is Capital City 3on3?
    CC3 is an outdoor 3on3 basketball tournament that normally takes place in Washington State. For 2024, our event location will be in Tenino, WA during the Oregon Trail Days festival. 3on3 basketball is for all ages. Basketball games are not the only thing going on. There are giveaways, competitions, local organizations, vendors, and food on-site.
  • What are the dat​es of Capital City 3 on 3?
    July 27-28, 2024. Check-in is on Friday, between 5:30-7 PM in Tenino, WA 98589
  • When is the team entry deadline?
    In order to guarantee your desired division and a player t-shirt, Capital City 3on3 must receive your completed registration and payment on or before July 15, 2024.
  • When is team check in?
    Check-in Saturday before your games start onsite in Tenino, WA (details to be announced). Have one team representative come with your team name and division and you'll receive your team registration bag with participant shirts, event program, etc.
  • When will the schedules be out?
    Schedules should be out the Thursday before Team Check In.
  • What is there to do between games?
    2024 CC3 Saturday at noon we have a dunk contest for youth and adults on the Black Hills Excavating (BHE) Elite Court. Sign up any time before either at team check in, or Saturday before noon. Sunday we will have a 3-point contest at noon on the Black Hills Excavating Elite (BHE) Court. Enjoy all the festivities and vendors at the Oregon Trail Days festival, including a parade on Saturday.
  • How ​much is the team entry fee?
    $125 per team **There are no refunds for team entries**
  • When does registration open?
    Registration will open in May 25, 2024 and is open through July 15, 2024 for the 2024 tournament.
  • I went through the online registration process, but was not able to complete the payment step at the end. Is my team registered?"
    No. In order for the online registration to be submitted and processed, the payment step must be completed successfully. Upon successful completion of the payment step, a receipt will be sent to the email address entered during the payment process. Once the team registration has been fully processed, the team captain will receive an entry confirmation email within 24 hours containing the team number as well as other vital tournament information.
  • What grade should I select - current or next year's grade?
    Select grade next year in the Fall of 2024 since the games will be played in the summer, after school is out. Be prepared to submit proof of grade/eligibility with a school record or report card if needed.
  • Does registration include a t-shirt?
    Yes! Registration includes a free participant t-shirt if registered by the deadline (roster changes afterward cannot guarantee a shirt). Teams are encouraged to wear their own team shirts/uniforms. All Elite Division teams must wear coordinated uniforms/shirts. Registration includes a team roster where you can specify player tshirt size for the participant shirt.
  • Can I get a refund?
    Normally, there are no refunds for team entries. If the event is cancelled, then we will refund entry fees.
  • Does Capital City 3on3 offer a family division?
    This year we are offering adult coed instead of a specific family division. Adults ages 18 and over are welcome to join the adult coed division. See complete information in the Standard & Other Divisions section under "Play".
  • How many people can we have on a roster?​
    Four people per roster. Once rosters are submitted, you can change through Team Check-In on Friday. After team check-in the roster cannot change. To submit a roster change, visit https://www.capitalcity3on3.com/roster
  • Do all team members have to be the same grade/age?
    Teams are bracketed by grade-level according to the highest grade-level on the team. You cannot play down in a division/grade. We do have some combined divisions. Keep in mind however, that it may not be possible to bracket teams with very diverse player characteristics against other teams of similar makeup and youth and high school teams will be bracketed by grade-level according the highest grade-level on the team. Be prepared to submit proof of grade/eligibility with a school record or report card.
  • Can I play on more than one team?
    While we do allow individuals to play on more than one team (teams must not be in the same division), we cannot control game schedules to guard against scheduling conflicts. Individuals playing on multiple teams could have multiple games scheduled at the same time.
  • Can we enter a co-ed team with only one member of the opposite sex?
    Yes. Keep in mind, however, that co-ed teams must have members of the opposite sex on the court at all times. Therefore, on a team with three males and one female, the female would have to play the entire time, each game with no rest. If this female would become injured or otherwise unable to play, then the entire team would be disqualified.
  • What Divisions are available?
    Divisions for the CC3 Tournament are: Standard Divisions (18+) Adult Men's Recreation (24 teams max) Adult Men's Elite (8 teams max) Adult Men's Competitive (24 teams max) Adult Women's (8 teams max) Adult Coed (8 teams max) Please note that: Adult Divisions will be bracketed according to age, height, and skill level indicated on registration. So teams are competing with teams of similar, age, heights, and skill level.   • The division is full, can I join a waitlist?"
    Yes! If another division does not fill up, we can add more spots to other divisions. Please fill out the waitlist form here: https://forms.gle/qZy8KkzZzRBC6ZqQ8 or linked at the bottom of the Play page.
  • Can I change my roster
    To submit a roster change, visit https://www.capitalcity3on3.com/roster. After team checkin, your roster remains the same for the whole weekend.
  • How many games are guaranteed?
    CC3 is a tournament bracket style of play and there is no minimum game guarantee.
  • What are the official rules of Capital City 3on3 Tournament?
    Capital City 3on3 is a 3 on 3 street ball tournament, so the rules and regulations might be different than what you're accustomed to using for organized, indoor basketball. Don't worry though, you can get familiar with our rules. Read them here.
  • Can we get a sponsor for our team?
    While some teams elect to recruit team sponsors to help cover the cost of registration, this is solely the responsibility of the team, as Capital City 3on3 (CC3) does not recruit or provide individual team sponsors.
  • How many levels of sponsorship are there?
    Sponsorship levels vary and we can also develop a custom package. Check out our sponsor page for more information.
  • Where do I sign up to volunteer?
    Visit our Volunteer page and fill out our volunteer form to get you connected!
  • How and when will I hear back about my volunteer shift?
    All volunteers will be contacted by email prior to Capital City 3on3.
  • Can we sign up to play without a team?
    Fill out the player interest form and we will try to match you with other players.
  • How can I be a vendor at your event?
    Fill out our vendor application. Vendors for 2024 will need to apply through Tenino Chamber of Commerce through the Oregon Trail Days.
